Wow this is really good. A band from Gothenburg which I never heard about before. It feels a little take they take over where Refused once stopped. The same fast hardcore but with a singer which is realy can be heard because he´s in the front of the soundcarpet and that´s the way I want it. Their long songtitles in some of the songs reminds me about Randy but they´re so much harder than so. The 6 songs have so much more to give than the 14 minutes they are and the record goes on and on all time and this group with a little bit weird name is muy new demofavourites right now.

Southern Lord reports that Earth is back in the studio this month recording tracks for their forthcoming album entitled The Bee Made Honey in the Lions Skull. Now if that ain't an awesome title. The album is due later in the year on Southern Lord. Earth's latest Hibernaculam is still baking in the oven as we speak and will be made available on March 20th in a special CD and DVD packaged release.
The DVD will contain an Earth documentary called Within The Drone. A special screening will be happening in NYC(Brooklyn) on April 8th. It will also be shown at the Domino festival in Brussels on April 17th (the night of the Melvins!) at club AB.

Pusher formed after vocalist Steve Sindoni
split from the ranks of Breather Resist and
formed a new destruction unit. Pusher quickly
impregnated fans across the eastern half of
North America with their diseased blasts of

When I first saw the cover and read the band’s name on it I feared having to review yet another mediocre bullshit pseudo-emotional metalcore record. If I had read the record title, too, my fears would have vanished. The title is just awesome!
The band is actually just a duo of a drummer and a pianist who are both singing as well. However it took me a look at the info to realize this. With the help of a lot of effects like reverb and distortion they sound like a lot more at some points of the record. The band is working with strong dynamics and a lot of silent-loud-antagonisms. It is atmospherically dense and musically abstract. In some way it is the absolute realization of the slogan “reduce to the max!”.
I’d call it an ambitious trip hop-jazzcore-fusion. It’s all pretty artsy but it definitely has relevance and it’s cool to have some bands or projects keeping tearing down the walls between all these musical genres musicologists invented. If you are down with The Liars, Black Dice or John Zorn you should not let The Scarabeusdream pass by without taking notice.

Given his endless roster of side projects in addition to his main gig, Sebadoh, it would seem Lou Barlow just can't get enough of himself. But as the king of lo-fi, it's Lou's job to be a compulsive releaser of material. In committing so much to tape, Barlow gives us an intimate view of a songwriter in all his moods and various states of polish. Barlow appears on 9 of 13 cuts on the soundtrack of the much-discussed film Kids, mainly as part of a duo with John Davis called Folk Implosion. While there's a spare Sebadoh oldie ("Spoiled") and an angry punk exorcism from the four-man Deluxx Folk Implosion ("Daddy Never Understood"), mostly we hear Barlow in mellow dance mode with the groove-based Implosion. Over trancelike mechanical beats and synth effects that verge on ambient at times, Barlow delivers vocals in as plain and funky a style as a nerdy white boy can. It's a shame that songs like "Natural One" and "Wet Stuff" barely appear in the film; they create a perfect backdrop for Kids' confused adolescents.

The first AGUIRRE full length is out ! This band include some HK and Pavlov members but they are more into noise rock, they sound a bit like Twelve Hour Turn but with French vocals ! It’s sound different again from the stuff we release recently, I hope you will like them.
