These three guys from Sant Feliu de Guíxols, Costa Brava, have one sane obsession: not submitting to anyone's authority. And that includes recording albums when they want to and not when they should to follow any regularity, and playing when no one expects them to play or leaving us without their gigs when we expected them. Unpredictable and free, they were born 10 years ago and have delighted us with three albums only: "Seeds of enthusiasm" (1997), the unspeakable "][" (2002) and this unwritable "41º46.5'N 3º1.9'E" (2005). Uncomfortable for conformity. In the gaps between, Santi Garcia's agenda as a producer gives infinite resources to his already brilliant skills as guitar player and singer. And the combination of them with the astonishingly powerful base by hyper active Maxim's bass and hysterical drumming by Roger gives as a result something like an angry bulldozer fed up with highly melodic fuel. Santi's experience as a producer with first-line bands such as Standstill, Tokyo Sex Destruction, The Unfinished Sympathy, Madee, Delorean, etc., and his learning period at Engine Studios in Chicago, USA has given to him a reputation which is now as high as the huge respect that hardcore-punk audience has for No More Lies after years of tough playing around Europe, crashed vans and hard floor sleeping. Their close relationship to international bands such as Favez or One Man and His Droid (bands which Santi produces) give them even more prestige in our scene. And that's totally reasonable, because though being that irregularly active, we know that every time they put hands to work, result doesn't fail: a true blaster. Songs that will make you wake up from your nice sleeps and make you run until the beaches of Sant Feliu, and dive and yell to fishes that our best punk rock band is back in town.

Born in the year 2000, forceed goes on with exploring cold sounds and demoniac rythms. At the start the goal is to play music during hours as heavy as possible. In the year 2002 the band record an EP with 7-strings guitars and double pedal, the average of the band is around the age of 16. The disc has the opportunity to be assumed by Division Records, the swiss hardcore label of Unfold, Zatokrev, Vancouver, Shovel, impure Wilhelmina, Ordeal, and after a few shows in Switzerland the band records an album, in 2003, called "idyl of estreya". After these two records, the guys from north lost Switzerland plays with the same obstinacy for heavy and aggressive music. The result of this period is going to be available as a new album for the end of 2006.

This 2nd album of Germany's KOBAYASHI that used Japanese for the band name (it is a popular family name in Japan) is just their best staff as extolled by all DIY punk/hardcore labels which is intimate with them in Germany. They play very outstanding melodic punk/hardcore that is not able to be compared to any band, and all the songs are powerful truly. Although each of the songs are abundant also in variations, there is their consistent color. Intelligent, unique and deep personal-political lyrics are filled with passion for our unknown, and the consideration/dissident's mind for all the lies in this society, although a prospect is not bright. Moreover, it is amazing that the contents of the lyrics and the style of the songs fit exquisiteness. The lyrics are translated into English, Spanish, and Japanese (the Japanese translations were translated by Acclaim. By the way, their lyrics became the factor to which we love them more and more in process in which we translate the lyrics into Japanese. It mean the connection of more than music for us). Laura of Disface participates by guest vocals (on "La valla"). LP is gatefold sleeve, and CD is digipack (There are plus 20 pages booklet). Personally, the artwork which feels familiarity is also expressing Kobayashi of this very well. This is a super record truly.

These guys always impressed me. They were technical, but brutal as well. When SPAZZ played with them in Buffalo I asked them if they wanted to do a CD. It took awhile to get everything together, but it finally happened. The CD contains an LP length of new material, plus the two old splits. Everything they ever did up to that point. Fans of ASSUCK and DISCORDANCE AXIS will love these guys.

Killer schizo extreme hardcore from Barcelona, Spain...this album freaking RIPS, channeling everything from ultrafast, ULTRABRUTAL powerviolence that sounds like INFEST on PCP, to screechy, lumbering art-damaged hardcore, to almost NAKED CITY style cuts into bizarre jazz territory. The songs on Potemkin generally smash you over the head with a ridiculously fast blast of hyperspeed Slap A Ham style hardcore before suddenly morphing into anything from a cool BLACK SABBATH style riff-heavy stoner jam, or those aforementioned passages of mutant jazz, or noise rock-meets BLACK FLAG freakouts, or a mashup of snotty garage rock and speedy melodic punk. Their eclectic grindcore weirdness reminds us alot more of Japanese freaks like C.S.S.O. or Melt Banana or Bathtub Shitter, that's for sure. Heavy,grindy, brutal stuff!

In December 2005 they recorded nine songs, the first demo, they present it in some shows with important bands like Oi Polloi, Sound Of Silence, Katekesis, Rainbow of Death, Fallen, Naizroxa, Basurde, Dismember... After several years in the band, Sergio left out it and David enter in his place.
Actually they are preparing live set for present their first album, "Burning Cuchillo", out sice Abril 2007.
