Unrelenting! Explosively powerful creative thrash marked with tough metallic breakdowns, floor- punching chunka-chunka, and raucous female vocals. Speeding hardcore filled with abrasive twists and turns, violent vocal trade offs and dark and thoughtful lyrics. SCROTUM GRINDER is composed of members of the bands HANKSHAW (though they sounds nothing alike), FAILURE FACE, along with Steve Kosiba, who was in Misery Index-era ASSUCK and lead vocalist, Michelle who is a punk rock crowd-leaping terror and later sang in MOMENTO MORI! By no means a repeat of past bands or sounds, this tears with inventiveness and imagination while still keeping even keel with a destructive hardcore path, an apocalyptic dark ride with lyrical hope and inspiration as a guide... and yes, Prank knows the band name is terrible!

Goddamn this stuff rules! Laudanum play an interesting hybrid of sounds that draws from sludge, stoner, crust, and hardcore, then combines them into a unique and lethal concoction. There is a definite presence of a dark angular groove in most of the songs that is catchy as hell but much different than the more sabbath/southern style riffing of a lot of sludge bands. The bass is thick and dense, giving everything a very suffocating atmosphere while the drums pound away relentlessly destroying whatever gray matter is left in your skull. I love the vocals too, which definitely have a crust/grindcore edge to them with a lot of trade offs between each member with harsh shouts, low death growls, and fierce screams all being utilized. This is just a killer record from start to finish with a lot of great samples and the always stellar artwork of Judd Hawk (who is in the band by the way!).
The Apotheker is a powerful work that should appeal to fans of Leechmilk and Dystopia, that whole crossover kind of sound that mixes the heavy sludge with a lot of other elements as well. There's a lot going on this record from straight up stoner rock riffing to brutal crust elements and the variety just keeps me coming back again and again.

Han compartido escenario con grupos como Eight Hands For Khali, High On Fire, Black Cobra, Saviours, Suma, Atomic Bitchwax, Warchetype, Moksha, Iron Batasuna, Positiva, Loan, Rhino, Neila, The Eyes y Monolith.

If we were into trends, we could say "the nineties are back". But fortunately we're just into good music, and these sentences don't bother us too much Persona have proved again with their third album that they're one of the mist powerful spanish bands yet to be dicovered, and that their ability to make their sound absolutely compact is awesome. No slots, no doubts, they're becoming one of the most solid concerete pieces of our alternative rock. Drinking from the sources of american tradition, between the relative dissonance of Washington DC sound and the darkness of early grunge, it's difficult no find a name that descibes them better than their own music. There have been many steps forward since their previous "Accident" (BCore, 2006): vocals are far more beautiful and rich, as they push music upon the sky, while the huge yet minimal rhythm base keeps their feet on the ground; sometimes, down to a hell of convulse magma. Definition in every touch, in every beat, that actually roots on nineties rock to launch them into modern soundscapes. Maybe that's their best goal, updating a sound that is far from indulgence, but searching for constant surprise, with the only apparent intention to dig into listener's guts again and again. And we must say the result has charmed us, as the record flows in a constant balance between fists and caresses; and if you can feel that on record, just imagine the same in the first row of a live performance. Pure physics, they stomp with elegance and introspection to make you dive into the depths of this excellent album.

With "It's close, that's what matters" (BCore, 07) this trio made us jump from our seat with a discharge of energic post-hardcore that we hadn't heard since the days of Aina. Grown up musically at the Arrebato punk showroom in Zaragoza, after experiences in bands like Waco or William, they became without noticing one of the most representative outfits from Zaragoza's hardcore scene, hand in hand with Persona. Playing everywhere around Spain with Nueva Vulcano, Delorean or No More Lies, their live performance impressed the group Medications from Dischord Records, who brought them on a tour together around Europe. With such an energy injection, they went to Ultramarinos Costa Brava Studios to record five new tracks with Santi Garcia as a brilliant end of season happening. Santi not only played the engineer but also became responsible of most of the arrangements in the recording, and his brother Victor on piano gave to this EP a twist into the intelligible, a little more brightness to their complex and smart sound. Youthful adrenaline, twisted in some moments and measured in others, that makes us think of Kerosene 454 or Bluetip. A little gift in the shape of an EP to remind us that they're back to the front, with more mature songs, more concrete, with a total control over dissonance, explicit lyrics and instrumental landscapes richer than ever, to let us still believe in youth as the main value of underground.

MÖNSTER was formed in May 2004 by Alexandre (BORN DEAD ICONS, ex-THE BLACK HAND), Jobst (ex-PEACE OF MIND, ex-HIGHSCORE), Marek (INSUICIETY/drums, ex-DYSMORFOFOBIA/drums) and Matthias (ex-A THIN RED LINE, ex-COSTA..S CAKE HOUSE).
The band started as a project, but after realizing that such a good chemistry shouldn..t be blown off in the air, decision was made to take it out of the practice space. The first two concerts confirmed that the audience could also relate to this energy. In terms of sound, comparisons have been made to the modern Swedish-Crust-Portland sound with a good measure of rocking riffs and a classic straight forward hardcore feel.
The CD contains all their songs released so far only on 7inches + a previously unreleased bonus track!

Trip Inside was the first spanish band from outside Barcelona that BCore released. Their debut contained punk rock songs close to Jawbreaker and sung in spanish. From Zaragoza, the quartet had the chance to play with such bands as Victims family or Fugazi, being the main band from the Zaragoza area at the time.

Inserta is a post-hc band, formed in Bilbao during year 2001. We are 4 friends who come from different projects such as Elfo Negro, Los Brebes, ADHoc, Capsula, Istripu, Nothum. At the first stage the band worked as a trio, we executed a hard and atmospheric rock. The formation at that time was made up by J. Matthys (6 strings and vocals), J. de Leiden (low frequencies) and M. Hoffman (drums and plates). From that phase we put several shows on record, as well as an European tour together with the band Elfo Negro: Berlin, Paris…, a 4 song live-recorded demo "mira como suena el sol” (2003) and the collaboration in different animation shorts made by the artist from Bilbao Itziar Barrio (www.itziarbarrio.com). The 2nd era starts when we proposed M. Muntzer joining us as singer, the compositions then started having a more energetic look, with more vigorous rhythms. So once the band was defined, we started composing new songs and playing our first shows as a quartet. In October 2006 we published our first LP "Escenarios de no tiempo”, which meant a lot of shows during 2006 and 2007 through different cities and villages of the Basque Country, Aragon, France and also a Switzerland tour in March 2008. The LP has been very well received in live shows, as well as in different musical publications and press. Nowadays we had just released our second album 'Reencuentros'. 8 tracks CD recorded mixed and masterized with Xanpe @ 'Koba Studio'.

AUTUMN DELAY started out March 2004. Their debut recordings resulted in a split cd with “The Black Heart Rebellion” on Offerandum records and received some very positive reviews. They played non-stop all over Belgium and played tours in Spain, France, Suisse and the United Kingdom. Just recently, AD recorded a 4 track EP. It consists of 4 new songs that demonstrate a full-grown and matured band. A band who recorded an honest EP, trying to represent their powerful live reputation. And above all a band that refuses to be yet another copy of whatever’s doing good at the time.

Kerry Davis is a rock and roll queen. From her time in the seminal Red Aunts who were among the most influential of the early 90's all girl rock bands to her collaboration with the brilliant Beehive And The Baracudas Kerry Davis's voice, guitar style and personality has set her apart from the rest of the modern garage rockers. Her new group Two Tears is nothing short of sublime with songs of heart ache, love, friends and Paris to shatter your sould and leave you wanting more.
