Info

Ten seconds into the opening track “Odd Generation’s Back” and you know exactly what’s going on here: there’s no attempt to even disguise the fact it’s a speeded up rip-off of the Ramones “Blitzkrieg Bop”. But this album has that spark, that certain special something where trifles like that don’t matter, where every song makes you wanna jump in the air and smash your face into the wall. Taking their name from the Blitz song, you’d be forgiven for expecting a dodgy run through of the old Oi! Formula. Thankfully you’d be wrong. This has more energy and attitude than a barrel full of punky monkeys. “Mainstream Civil War”, “Rat Pack”, “Let’s Go”, each one guaranteed to get your foot tapping, even Douglas Bader couldn’t stop himself twitching his stumps. Big choruses, great guitars and catchy punk-as-fuck songs… excellent.
